Scottish Landscapes Photography Print Quality Information
We here at Scottish Landscape Photography understand that our customers only deserve the best in quality and choice. So a lot of time and effort have gone into researching the qualities of different paper grades and finishes.
We will only use the very best quality paper and pigmented inks. These combinations of paper and ink have been tested, and have been declared 'Museum Grade'. This means that the prints that we are supplying come with a
150 year quoted light-fastness regardless of the paper differences or whether it
is a gloss or matt finish .
For those that are
technically minded, here is some information about our print devices and paper
types. For small format work (up to 10"x15") we print on FujiFilm Frontier 370
and 390 printers. These work by exposing red, green and blue laser light onto
FujiFilm Crystal Archive photographic paper at 300 DPI (dots per inch). For
large format work we use a Polielectronica Laserlab. This is a world-class
laser-based photographic device which prints onto FujiFilm Professional digital
photographic paper at 254 DPI. The fade resistance of the
prints is rated at 150 years on both the FujiFilm Frontier 370 and 390 printers
and the Polielectronica Laserlab printers.
We are using the following papers at the present time due to their outstanding print quality
and their compatibility with the high quality printers:
FujiFilm Crystal Archive
FujiFilm Professional
